Our Code of Practice We commit: >> To put the interests of the client first and to serve clients with integrity and competence. >> To assume an independent position with the client, ensuring advice given is based on impartial consideration of all relevant facts and opinions. >> Not to disclose or permit to be disclosed confidential information regarding a client's business or to use this information to the consultant's own advantage, without that client's prior written permission. >> To carry out all work associated with an assignment diligently, impartially, honestly and to the highest professional standards. >> Not to carry out work for two or more clients in areas of common and vital interest, except by written agreement with the parties concerned. >> To disclose to a different client any personal or financial interest, special relationship, or other significant circumstances which may influence judgement, objectivity and advice given to that client, in particular: a) directorships or controlling interests in any business in competition with the client, b) financial interest in goods and or services recommended or supplied to the client, c) any personal relationship with any individual working within or for the client, and d) the existence, but not the name, of any other current client (of the consistency or consultant) with competing interests. >> To accept only those referrals and/or assignments that the consultant is qualified and able to carry out and, where others are engaged to assist, to ensure they are similarly qualified and able. >> To provide the client with clear, written proposals identifying full Terms of Reference (ToR's) including objectives, scope of work, fee or fee basis for each and every project. In the event of subsequent changes to the ToR being identified as necessary, to submit these to the client for approval and acceptance prior to the implementation of such change. >> To maintain a full and effective liaison with the client and to submit appropriate written reports and supporting documentation, as required by the client. >>
Not
to practice during a period when a consultant's judgement or ability to provide
a full professional service is, or might be, impaired through any cause. |
